Well how about that then! Final Cut have been rehearsing with a revised line up for less than 8 weeks and we are now ready to start playing venues and shows are getting booked left, right and centre! Either we are in demand (delusions of grandure!! - and extremely unlikely :)) or there is a real demand out there for classic rock covers.

In only a very short space of time, we have secured bookings at Borrowash, Belper, Trent Lock, Spondon and are in negatioations with many others. For details of these and future shows please check our events page here. Trying to book places is a new experience and a very interesting one at that. There is no common theme, no rule of thumb and no consistency. Some venues respond to email, some to phone calls and some you have to walk into the place physically and chat face to face. Oh and some won't entertain your advances unless they are made by a third party! Good job then that we have the ability to cater for all walks of life :)

Now that we are venturing into the live circuit, it is encouraging and good to see that live music venues are alive and well and looking for bands or acts on what seems to be an ever increasing scale. Festivals and events seem to be growing in popularity and creatvity and there seems to be plenty of opportunities for seasoned veterans and the likes of us spring chickens (easy on the metaphors!) to get in on the act. (sorry, dreadful pun!)

We have no idea what this year has in store for us and we won't until it's over, but the good news is that we are ready for it, looking forward to it and want to give it our very best so that we and you our audience, get to have a great time! Bring on the good times, bring on the Rock, bring on Final Cut. Let's see what you all make of us :)
